Gelatinized organic Maca is considered the highest level of quality. After the cleaning process, the Maca roots undergo a gentle heating process (gelatinization) removing its starch content and the toxic hydrogen cyanide (or prussic acid) of the raw roots. The gelatinization process increases the concentration of nutrients (approx. 25% higher than raw Maca) and makes it more digestible. High quality gelatinized Maca root powder has a pleasant taste that reminds of caramel or butter toffee. It dissolves easily in milkshakes, smoothies, yoghurt, fruit juices and protein shakes.
Gelatinized Maca root powder does not contain gelatin of animal origin, it is 100% vegetable and suitable for a strict vegetarian diet (vegan).
